ThPA SA expands intermodal operations to Niš, Serbia

ThPA SA has launched a new regular service with block trains between Thessaloniki and Niš, Serbia. The first unit train carrying containers of CMA CGM SA, a pioneering French container transport company in the maritime transport and logistics sector, departed from the container terminal of ThPA SA on the morning of Wednesday August 17 and arrived to the Mbox terminal in Niš on the same day with a transit time of only 16 hours.

The service was made possible thanks to the cooperation between ThPA SA and the Greece-North Macedonia-Serbia railway companies, namely Hellenic Train SA, MZ Transport AD, Kombinovani Prevoz DOO and 9 other private and public entities respectively.

From September 2022, trains will depart from Thessaloniki and Niš weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays, arriving the same day at their respective destinations. ThPA SA is ready to increase the frequency of services, meeting the demands of our partners in dynamically growing Serbia.
