• New Schneider Electric field service experts will positively influence climate strategy in all industries, worldwide
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, recently announced that it is opening recruitment for 2,500 field service experts globally, roles that drive the economy global green.
The latest IPCC report notes that greenhouse gas emissions must peak by 2025 to give the world a chance to limit future warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Changes are needed at the industry level to achieve this goal, the report suggests.
A more electric and digital world is the key to a sustainable and resilient future. The growing green economy must enable this by promoting a sustainable and circular economy approach.
Schneider’s 2,500 new Field Service Expert roles are designed to meet this need. Already cornerstones of Schneider Electric’s close work with customers, each field service expert will influence corporate sustainability and active energy management as businesses around the world contribute to climate goals.
Field service experts will positively influence customer energy decisions
The Service Engineer role combines tool-based operations to repair and maintain customer infrastructure with digital technologies and modernize assets, which streamlines work performance and provides additional information and services to customers.
They will use the power of IoT and EcoStruxure platforms to digitize and decarbonize facilities and provide advice on sustainability strategies and energy supply and cybersecurity, safety and performance. They will work alongside clients to design and implement energy management and circularity strategies, ensure the efficiency of their facilities and sustain results over time. Accelerating the contribution to CO2 savings for our customers, the Services teams aim to reduce our customers’ footprint by more than 10 million tonnes of eCO2 by 2025 through circularity and energy efficiency solutions.
Schneider Electric’s sustainable service engineers have already saved customers 1 million tonnes of CO2 in 2021, while improving equipment safety and reliability for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
Frédéric Godemel, EVP Power Systems & Services at Schneider Electric, said:
“The growth of the green economy plays an important role in addressing large-scale climate change. One of the best ways to achieve critical goals is to create green jobs that inspire organizations to use greener technologies and make a difference for the planet while satisfying those who work there.

We are delighted to support these 2,500 people and many more they will help as we all work towards a greener future with better use of electricity. As the principles of Electricity 4.0 state, a more electric and digital world is key to a sustainable and resilient future.
